New Truck & Home

            The New Truck
Here is a picture of kids with the truck, million excitement with both students and teachers seeing the truck at school. This was one of our prayer request that God has answered. Everyone want to get a picture with the truck. All children village is full with joy since the van we have could not hold all the children going for Sunday worship. We had to make two trips but this is the result of the prayer. Boys standing up on the truck bucket and Steven and his friend sitting on the bonnet of the truck these are all to express their joy.

                                                     Vocational School

Juma Morris "red shirt" Ogwal Denis in the middle and Angulu Emmaunel are boys who want to start vocational training. These boys have had a difficult time in the traditional school setting due to the years missed from living on the streets and would like to learn a trade instead. The cost of the school is $350 per student to learn mechanics. If you are interested in sponsoring one of our boys please contact us at savinggraceinuganda@yahoo.com or call 800-655-6821.

 Coming Soon!
It is with great excitement that we are now building the girl's home. Being that Uncle Fred's House is a transitional home, these girls are now ready for village life. Fred & Kosta also felt it was important to move the girls away from the influence and issues that can occur at weekly street children's feeding and settle them into a more normal environment. As you can see these girls are ready for that new start.

Needs: Laptop, Camera, Books and Puzzles

Our June trip is coming quickly and we are hoping to bring a few very much needed items. Fred's laptop and camera are on their way out.  Fred is hoping for a laptop that has a built in camera and microphone for Skype use. A camera for pictures is very important.  They do not have the kind of phones we have here that come with cameras. If anyone has a camera they are not using anymore please let us know.  We are also taking children's books, educational books and puzzles over for the school.  Please contact us if you would like to donate any of these items for the trip.

More Clothes For Street Children

Today we got many street boys coming for clothing, after

giving them clothes the news reached to many on the

street that we are giving streets boys clothes. We then had a

lot of them coming for clothes which was uncontrollable. This

was as result of so many who do not have much to wear. The

ones which was given to them was a great blessing to see

them dressed smart, We have got five street boys who want

to be taken back to their homes, this has come as result of

getting clothes and feeling better but the challenge we have

is that we don't have transport to take them since many of

their homes are very far and the roads are rough. That best

shoot we have is on the motor bike for efficient transport.

Second there is need to identify the reason why they left their

homes and when they are taken back home that to make sure

that problems do recur. This must be handle by our

social worker who will take them to their homes.      Fred

Feeding Street Children Over The Holiday

Today we had 40 children from the streets coming in

the house for a meal and bath. Most of them wearing rages

so we handed out second hand shirts. Many of them asked to

go to school. They are all growing really fast and they want to

join vocational school for skills development so that they can

depend on themselves and not be forced to steal.

We prayed with them all.

Our Street Girls Ministry Is Growing.

It has been such a blessing to have a growing girls ministry at Uncle Fred's House. We have had six girls until today when we brought in a five year old girl name Sharon. She was found at the local dump by other street kids that told Fred about her.
What a blessing it will be to share Christ love with this little one. Please keep her in your prayer as we try to locate her family and assess the reason she was on the streets.

The Village Is Buzzing

Woo, mama we are committed to a numbers of things in opening the

school, we needed new staff to handle grade six which we are graduating

this January and now we have. We are working on the budget for

the school term, this will help us know how much we need to run the

school for term and for a year with the resources we have.  I am just

from Kampala to check our Registration certificate for the school with

Ministry of Education and Sport,  but I was told to get the certificate in

March. We had the Inspector of schools inspecting our school

last week and he gave us an excellent recommendation on the school and

soccer field on how it is coming along. I talk now every one is busy

preparing children to go back to school.  Quinto, Joy and house mothers

are doing purchase for the school needs and children needs for them to be

at school.

School opens on 21st of this very months and the preparation is

in high gear for both teaching staff and non teaching staff. keep us in

your prayers to have new student from community joining our school.

As of today we have registered thirty new students already to join the

school from the community.  This is amazing to see how the

community around is liking the school.

We are all fine, love greetings to you all and blessing to you.
